Netflix’s popular Korean dating show “Single’s Inferno” is set to deliver its most captivating season yet, with producers promising unprecedented pool scenes that outshine previous installments.
During a production showcase in Seoul on Wednesday, the creators and panelists of “Single’s Inferno” Season 5, including producers Kim Jae-won and Park Soo-ji, shared insights about the upcoming season. They were joined by celebrity panelists Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, rapper Hanhae, and breakout star Dex from Season 2.
The reality dating series follows singles stranded on a remote island named “Inferno,” where they must develop romantic connections to escape. The show has gained immense popularity on Netflix, driven by its viral moments and contestants who frequently achieve instant fame.
Kyuhyun noted that the cast of Season 5 is more open and expressive compared to past seasons. He remarked, “On dating shows, people usually try to manage their image, but this time the contestants were shockingly honest and expressive in front of the camera. And you really have to talk about the pool scenes. They are the sexiest we have ever had.”
Dex, recognized for a memorable pool scene in Season 2, acknowledged that Season 5 has indeed set a new standard, stating, “There is a pool scene in Season 5 that completely beats mine.” He humorously accepted the surpassing of his moment, expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming season's potential.
Additionally, Dex shared his belief that Season 5 might be the most entertaining yet, praising the producers for continually introducing fresh personalities. “Even though I was in Season 2, I honestly think Season 5 is more fun,” he commented.
Producer Kim Jae-won teased a significant twist in the first week that will influence the entire season, mentioning a truth game that promises to create chaos and affect the dynamics throughout.
