Yonhap</p></div></div><p class="editor-p">Scuffles occurred outside the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in southern Seoul as a parliamentary special committee prepared to inspect ballot-handling issues from the June 3 local elections.</p><p class="editor-p">Some protesters blocked access to the stadium, which served as a ballot counting site on election day, and said entry would be allowed only to special counsel investigators or individuals with a warrant.</p><p class="editor-p">Witnesses reported clashes outside the venue, including shoving and the tearing of American flags carried by participants.</p><p class="editor-p">Police deployed about 2,000 officers to the scene to maintain order, and emergency responders were sent after a protester reportedly collapsed, though the cause was not immediately known.</p><p class="editor-p">The parliamentary committee planned an on-site inspection of the stadium in the afternoon, following a briefing at the Songpa District Election Commission on ballot-paper management on election day.</p><p class="editor-p">Protests alleging election fraud and calling for a rerun began on June 5, two days after ballot shortages temporarily halted voting at polling stations nationwide.</p>

<p>일부 시위대는 선거일에 개표 현장으로 사용됐던 체육관으로의 접근을 차단하며 조사에 반대했다. 그들은 특별 조사관이거나 영장이 있는 사람만 입장을 허용하겠다고 밝혔다.</p>
<p>체육관 밖에서 시위대 간 충돌이 목격되었고, 일부 시위대가 서로 밀치고 다른 참가자들이 들고 있던 미국 국기를 찢기도 했다.</p>
<p>경찰은 추가 충돌을 막기 위해 시위대를 분리하고 현장에 약 2,000명의 인력을 배치했다.</p>
<p>한편 한 차례의 긴급대응팀이 현장으로 파견됐으며, 한 시위대원이 의식을 잃었다고 전해졌다. 의식 소실의 원인은 즉시 확인되지 않았다.</p>
<p>당시 국회 특위 위원단은 오후에 체육관에 대한 현장 점검을 실시할 예정이었으며, 노량진 송파구 선거관리위원회를 방문해 선거일에 있는 투표용지 관리 방식에 대해 선거 관계관으로부터 브리핑을 받았다.</p>
<p>선거 부정 주장과 재선거를 요구하는 시위는 6월 5일부터 시작되었으며, 전국적으로 투표소의 투표 용지 부족으로 투표가 일시 중단된 직후였다.</p>
