<p>He came off the bench in the second half to help LAFC erase a two-goal deficit at Snapdragon Stadium. The match occurred as LAFC prepared for the second leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals against Deportivo Toluca FC in Mexico, leading the coach to manage player minutes, including Son, who was among nine starters rested from the prior leg.</p>
<p>San Diego opened the scoring through Marcus Ingvartsen in the seventh minute and added another in the 71st minute. Denis Bouanga leveled for LAFC in the 82nd minute with a finish set up by Son, who had substituted in for Ryan Raposo in the 60th minute. LAFC secured a stoppage-time equalizer from Ryan Hollingshead to complete the draw.</p>
<p>With 21 points from six wins, two losses, and three draws, LAFC sits third in the Western Conference, behind San Jose and Vancouver Whitecaps FC.</p>
