The ceremony will take place on Monday U.S. time.</p><p class="editor-p">BTS received three nominations, including the top category of Artist of the Year, competing against international stars such as Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift.</p><p class="editor-p">The band will attend the awards ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the first time in five years, having last appeared in 2021.</p><p class="editor-p">In addition to Artist of the Year, BTS is nominated for Best Male K-pop Artist and Song of the Summer for “Swim,” the lead track from its fifth studio album, “ARIRANG.”</p><p class="editor-p">A victory in Artist of the Year would mark BTS’s second grand prize at the AMAs. The group previously won in 2021, becoming the first Asian act to take the top award and also winning Favorite Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song for “Butter.”</p><p class="editor-p">The nominees for the 2026 AMAs were determined by streaming, album and digital sales, radio airplay, and touring revenue, with winners decided entirely by fan votes.</p><p class="editor-p">Other nominations include “Dracula” (remix), a collaboration between Jennie of a well-known K-pop group and Australian act Tame Impala, for Song of the Summer.</p><p class="editor-p">K-pop acts Katseye and its track “Gnarly” are in the running for multiple awards, including New Artist of the Year and Best Music Video. The Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” earned a nomination for Best Soundtrack, and a song from the film’s fictional group Huntrix was shortlisted for Best Pop Song.</p><p class="editor-p">In the Best Male K-pop Artist category, nominees include Ateez, Enhypen, Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together, and BTS, while the Best Female K-pop Artist nominees include aespa, BLACKPINK, ILLIT, Le Sserafim, and TWICE.</p>

2026년 AMAs의 후보는 스트리밍, 앨범 및 디지털 판매, 라디오 에어플레이, 투어 수익을 바탕으로 선정되며 수상 여부는 팬 투표로 결정된다.
Jennie가 참여한 BLACKPINK의 "Dracula" 리믹스는 Summer Song 부문에 후보로 올랐다.
미국에 기반을 둔 K-pop 걸 그룹 Katseye는 New Artist of the Year와 Breakthrough Pop Artist를 포함해 세 부문에 후보에 올랐고, 곡 "Gnarly"는 Best Music Video 부문에 후보로 올랐다.
