POSCO E&C will launch artificial intelligence (AI)-based health care services for its new apartments that go on sale next month.
The company said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ARK, a health care provider that specializes in point-of-care testing and AI-based data analysis in the field.
Under the agreement, ARK will provide health care services for POSCO E&C residents. ARK previously collaborated with Pusan National University Hospital to implement its AI-based health care services.
The MOU aligns with demographic trends in Korea, including more small households and an aging population, increasing demand for convenient health care access.
Health care services will be available to residents of the Hauterre and The Sharp apartment brands, initially at The Sharp complex in Daejeon (951 units) and another complex in Incheon’s Geomdan area (2,857 units), both currently under construction.
Residents will be able to monitor blood pressure, heart rate, stress level, and oxygen saturation, and receive a health report with AI recommendations for healthier habits. A pharmacist, nurse, and health care manager will offer consultations based on the data, with additional community services such as recovery wellness programs using a high-pressure oxygen chamber and seminars.
“Home is evolving beyond a simple living space into a lifestyle platform that manages health and quality of life. We will keep integrating AI technology with health care services to create a future-oriented residential environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents,” a company official stated.

POSCO E&C의 건강 관리 서비스는 회사의 아파트 브랜드인 Hauterre와 The Sharp의 거주자에게 직접 제공된다. 먼저 대전의 The Sharp 아파트 단지(951세대)와 인천 검단 지역의 2,857세대 규모의 단지가 현재 공사 중인 곳에서 도입될 예정이다. 거주자는 혈압, 심박수, 스트레스 수준, 산소포화도 등을 확인하고 종합 건강 보고서를 받을 수 있다. AI는 결과를 바탕으로 거주자에게 더 건강한 습관을 채택하는 방법을 추천한다. 약사, 간호사, 건강 관리 매니저가 데이터에 근거한 상담을 제공하고, 고압 산소실을 이용한 회복 웰니스 프로그램과 세미나 등 지역사회 서비스도 거주자들에게 제공될 예정이다. “집은 단순한 주거 공간을 넘어 건강과 삶의 질을 관리하는 라이프스타일 플랫폼으로 진화하고 있다. AI 기술을 건강 관리 서비스에 지속적으로 통합해 거주자의 삶의 질을 향상시키는 미래 지향적 주거 환경을 조성하겠다.”고 회사 관계자는 말했다.
