Korea lost its final match of the mixed doubles curling tournament at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on Monday, with Kim Seon-yeong and Jeong Yeong-seok falling 8-5 to Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten of Norway at Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The result left Korea with a 3-6 record in the round-robin, after opening 0-5 and then winning three consecutive matches.
They appeared set to claim a fourth straight win after building a 5-2 lead, but Norway rallied, pulling even with three points in the sixth end following a power play.
Korea opened with a 3-0 lead after the first two ends; Norway narrowed to 3-2 in the third end, and Kim delivered a perfect draw to the button in the fourth end to push the lead to 4-2. The advantage grew to 5-2 when Skaslien failed on a final takeout, but Norway tied the game with three points in the sixth end during its power play. Korea called a power play of its own in the seventh end, but Kim was penalized for releasing the stone before it crossed the hog line, allowing Norway to score two points and take the lead; Norway added another point in the final end to secure the victory.
Korea had already been eliminated from contention for the knockout rounds by Sunday night, despite defeating Estonia and Canada earlier that day.

한국의 최종 기록은 3승 6패였고, 초반 다섯 경기를 패한 뒤 이후 세 경기를 이겼다.
한국은 4연승을 노렸으나 노르웨이와의 경기에서 5-2 리드를 지키지 못했다.
일요일 밤 이미 토너먼트의 진출 자격에서 탈락한 상태였고, 같은 날 앞서 에스토니아와 캐나다를 차례로 이겼다.
한국은 처음 두 엔드에서 3-0의 리드를 잡았고, 3엔드에서 노르웨이가 따라붙어 3-2로 좁혀졌으나 4엔드에서 김의 센터 버튼으로의 완벽한 드로우로 리드를 4-2로 벌렸다.
리드는 5-2로 확대됐으나 스카슬리엔의 마지막 스톤으로의 제거 시도가 실패하면서 한국의 리드가 유지됐다.
노르웨이는 여섯 번째 엔드에서 파워 플레이를 활용해 3점을 얻고 5-5로 동점을 만들었다.
한국은 일곱 번째 엔드에서 리드를 되찾으려 파워 플레이를 시도했지만, 김이 하우스 중앙이 넓게 열려 있는 상태에서 스톤을 호그 라인에 닿기 전에 릴리스하지 못해 반칙이 선언됐다. 그때 노르웨이는 버튼에 더 가까운 두 개의 스톤을 보유하고 있었고, 이로 인해 두 점이 주어졌다.
노르웨이는 마지막 엔드에서도 한 점을 더해 승부를 확정했다.
