LAS VEGAS — The presence of artificial intelligence (AI) and health care companies from Korea is notably strong at this year’s CES tech exhibition, reflecting their growing global influence, according to CES Show Director John Kelley.
A total of 853 Korean firms are participating in CES 2026, making it the third-largest contingent after the United States and China. Kelley highlighted that AI is the primary focus of this year's event, stating, “AI is powering mobility, health care, education — everything.”
Kelley expressed optimism regarding the Korean government’s ongoing support for the AI sector, emphasizing its importance for national security and economic stability. He noted, “Countries adopt their own AI strategy, and I know this is a focus for the Korean government.”
Major Korean companies at CES 2026 include Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and Hyundai Motor, all of which are expected to present their updated AI strategies and demonstrate how they are integrating the latest AI technologies into their products. Kelley remarked on the substantial exhibition space occupied by Samsung and LG, highlighting the innovative products and technologies on display.
Additionally, Kelley shared his expectations for Korean startups, particularly in the health care sector, which represent the largest group of participating startups by country this year. He noted, “Their technologies make us stronger, healthier, help us live longer, treat diseases and solve problems, so health care is one of the most interesting sectors at the startup-dedicated Eureka Park this year.”
He concluded by acknowledging the significant number of awards won by Korean companies for their innovations, underscoring Korea's strength in the field of innovation.
