A woman who repeatedly visited the home of BTS member Jung Kook has been arrested by police for causing disturbances, according to authorities.
The Yongsan Police Station in central Seoul reported on January 4 that a Brazilian woman in her 30s was taken into custody on suspicion of violating the anti-stalking law after she appeared at Jung Kook’s residence in Yongsan District around 2:50 p.m. that day. The woman allegedly caused a disturbance, including throwing mail in front of the house. She had previously visited Jung Kook’s home twice in December and was arrested at the scene, with Jung Kook's representatives requesting a no-contact order at that time. Police indicated they would conduct further investigations to clarify the details of the case.
This incident is not the first time Jung Kook has encountered attempts at intrusion at his residence. In June of the previous year, a Chinese woman in her 30s was arrested on attempted housebreaking charges after she visited his home around the time of his military discharge and repeatedly attempted to enter a door code, ultimately receiving a suspended indictment. In October, a Korean woman in her 40s was referred to prosecutors for allegedly trespassing into the parking lot of Jung Kook’s residence. Additionally, a Japanese woman in her 50s was booked in November after reportedly trying to open the lock at his residence.
서울 용산경찰서는 방금 전 방해행위를 한 BTS 멤버 정국의 집에 반복적으로 찾아간 30대 브라질 여성을 체포했다고 밝혔다.
경찰에 따르면, 이 여성은 1월 4일 오후 2시 50분 경 정국이 거주하는 용산구의 집 앞에서 소란을 피운 혐의로 체포되었으며, 우편물을 던진 것으로 알려졌다. 그녀는 지난해 12월에도 정국의 집에 두 차례 방문했으며, 당시 정국 측에서 접근 금지 요청을 했었다. 경찰은 사건의 세부 사항을 파악하기 위해 추가 조사를 진행할 예정이다.
정국은 이전에도 자택 침입 시도를 경험한 바 있다. 지난해 6월, 한 30대 중국 여성이 그의 군 전역일 전후에 집에 방문해 여러 차례 비밀번호 입력을 시도하다가 주거침입 혐의로 체포되었으며, 이후 집행유예 처분을 받았다. 10월에는 40대 한국 여성이 정국의 주차장에 무단 침입한 혐의로 검찰에 송치되었고, 한 달 후에는 50대 일본 여성이 그의 집에서 자물쇠를 열려고 시도하다가 경찰에 적발되었다.
