A video released on January 20 on a YouTube channel called Life 84 features entertainer Kian84 with singer Chuu as a guest, titled “Spending a day with Chuu.”
During the video, the production staff reference the popular K-pop fan gesture known as the “biting heart,” noting that Kian84 appeared unfamiliar with it.
Chuu recalls her own experience with the gesture, saying she created the biting heart out of excitement when seeing fans, but did not realize how much attention it received at the time because she was not active on social media. She added that seeing senior celebrities frequently use the gesture later made her appreciate it more.
The conversation then shifts to marriage. When Chuu asks Kian84 whether he has plans to marry, he replies that he did, before playfully turning the question back to her. Chuu says she views marriage as simply one stage of life, prompting Kian84 to joke that she might be holding back out of concern for her fans’ reactions.
Chuu turns to the camera and says she would marry as late as possible, joking about possibly doing so in her 50s or 60s, which draws laughter from the set.
Kian84 brings up Jin, noting there are only a few celebrities he knows who take fan loyalty seriously. He says Jin told him off-camera that idols should not date or marry, insisting that doing so would betray fans. He adds that many celebrities say similar things publicly but act differently in private, whereas Jin was adamant behind the scenes, stating that it is “absolutely not acceptable.”
Chuu responds lightly, saying she would wait until all her fans were married first, clarifying that her remarks were joking but her desire to treat fans sincerely is genuine.
