Samsung Biologics announced on Sunday its participation in the upcoming 2026 J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, marking the 10th consecutive year the company has been officially invited to the prestigious event.
Scheduled for January 12 to 15 in San Francisco, the conference is recognized as the most significant investment gathering in the biopharmaceutical industry, attracting over 8,000 attendees from approximately 1,500 pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and healthcare companies.
This year, Samsung Biologics will present on January 13 at 3 p.m. local time in the Grand Ballroom of the Westin St. Francis Hotel, a venue considered the most important stage of the conference, with only 25 companies granted the opportunity to present there.
During the second day of the event, Samsung Biologics will share the platform with major global pharmaceutical firms such as GSK, AstraZeneca, and Eli Lilly.
CEO John Rim is expected to introduce the company's new contract manufacturing brand, ExellenS, and discuss last year's achievements, future plans, and updates on the company’s competitive position.
In late 2022, Samsung Biologics spun off its biosimilar development unit, Samsung Bioepis, to alleviate client concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest. The company also announced its acquisition of GSK’s plant in Rockville, Maryland, marking its first manufacturing site in the United States.
According to a company statement, Samsung Biologics aims to engage actively with investors and potential clients during the conference, promoting its unique global contract manufacturing and development capabilities while strengthening its networking efforts to support future business expansion.

지난해 말, 삼성바이오로직스는 이해상충 문제를 해결하기 위해 바이오시밀러 개발 부문인 삼성바이오에피스를 분사했다. 또 최근에는 GSK의 록빌, 메릴랜드 공장을 인수하여 미국 내 첫 제조 사이트를 확보했다.
