The sports ministry and the national Olympic committee will jointly operate a hospitality house in northern Italy during the 2026 Winter Games. The Korea House will be set up inside Villa Necchi Campiglio, a historic house museum in Milan, owned by a nonprofit organization.
The Korea House is slated to officially open on February 5, the day before the start of the 25th Winter Olympics, with the attendance of the sports minister and the national Olympic committee president. They will be joined by about 100 domestic and international sports officials, including members of the International Olympic Committee, heads of national Olympic bodies, and leaders of international sports federations.
The Korea House will close on February 22, the day of the closing ceremony.
Historically, the Korea House first operated at the 2004 Athens Summer Games, initially serving as an office and venue for press conferences related to Korean medalists, before evolving into a site promoting tourism, culture, and sports diplomacy.
The historic mansion will host official receptions, while its outdoor tennis court will be used to promote culture and tourism, and a lounge area for Korean Olympians will be set up in the basement.
The ministry and the national Olympic committee expect visits from numerous IOC members and leaders of national Olympic committees amid growing global interest in Korean culture.
February 17, Lunar New Year’s Day, has been designated as “Korea Day,” with visitors invited to experience Korean traditions, including sebae (the formal bow) and folk games.
The Team Korea promotion space will feature an exhibition of the official national team uniforms and will host a viewing party for major events; on February 22, the Korea House will celebrate Olympians with its official partners and sponsors in attendance.
Cultural programs for visitors include K-pop–inspired makeup and hairstyling and interactive K-pop classes.
The official merchandise brand of the national museum will be showcased at the Korea House, with nearly 100 culture heritage–inspired products reinterpreted under five themes—meditation, celadon, white porcelain, mother-of-pearl inlay, and “KPop Demon Hunters”—and some items such as celadon pouches and key rings will be available for purchase.
The Korea House will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with advance online reservations at koreahouse2026.com or on-site registration.

한국관은 2004년 아테네 하계 올림픽에서 처음 운영되었으며, 당시에는 직원의 사무실 역할과 한국 선수들의 메달 소식에 대한 기자회견장으로 사용되었다. 이후 관광과 문화 홍보 및 스포츠 외교의 거점으로 발전했다.
이 역사적 저택은 공식 접견을 주최하고, 야외 테니스 코트는 문화와 관광 홍보에 활용되며, 지하에는 한국 선수들을 위한 라운지 공간이 마련된다.
관계 당국은 한국 문화에 대한 국제적 관심이 커지는 가운데 다수의 IOC 위원과 각국 올림픽 위원회 지도자들이 한국관을 방문할 것으로 전망했다고 밝혔다.
설날인 2월 17일을 '한국의 날'로 정하고 방문객들에게 세배를 비롯한 한국의 전통 체험을 제공한다.
한국관 홍보 공간은 공식 국가대표 유니폼 전시를 포함하고 주요 대회의 시청 파티를 개최할 예정이며, 2월 22일에는 공식 파트너와 후원자들이 참석한 가운데 선수단의 업적을 기리는 행사도 열린다.
방문객을 위한 문화 프로그램으로 K-팝을 모티프로 한 메이크업 및 헤어 스타일링과 인터랙티브 K-팝 수업이 제공된다.
공식 상품 브랜드의 상품이 한국관에서 전시되며, 약 100점의 문화유산에서 영감을 받은 제품이 다섯 가지 주제로 재해석되어 전시된다. 주제는 명상, 청자, 백자, 자개 장식, 그리고 '케이팝 디몬 헌터스'로 구성된다. 그중 청자 파우치와 열쇠고리 등 일부 인기 품목은 구매 가능하다.
