YEONGJONG ISLAND, Incheon — Mercedes-Benz Korea showcased its upcoming all-electric vehicle (EV) lineup during its Future Strategy Conference on Friday. The new EVs are set to debut in the country starting in 2026 and will include a sedan, SUV, high-performance car, and a van.
The all-new electric CLA sedan and the electric GLC SUV are two strategic vehicles aimed at boosting EV sales growth for Mercedes-Benz Korea, with availability expected as early as 2026.
Additionally, the company introduced the CONCEPT AMG GT XX, a high-performance four-door vehicle featuring hyper-fast charging, powered by three axial-flux motors and a specialized battery inspired by Formula 1 technology.
The Vision V, a chauffeur-driven luxury limousine, was unveiled in Korea for the first time during the event, as part of the carmaker’s plan to launch 40 new vehicles globally by 2027.
Mercedes-Benz plans to release most of the new models in the Korean market to meet the strong demand for luxury vehicles, according to company representatives.
Mercedes-Benz Group Chairman expressed gratitude to the company’s major parts suppliers from Korea during the event. He arrived in Korea for a two-day business trip, which included meetings with top executives from key technological partners.
During the conference, he emphasized the importance of Korean components in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, stating, “You will not find a Mercedes-Benz car anywhere in the world without a piece of Korea in it.” He also mentioned that by 2027, the company will introduce over 40 new models, most of which will be available in Korea.
The new vehicles will feature various powertrains, including plug-in hybrids and advanced combustion engines. Mercedes-Benz has established technological partnerships with affiliates from major Korean companies in areas such as in-vehicle infotainment systems and EV batteries.
Reflecting on Korea's strategic importance in the auto parts supply chain, the company announced plans to establish a new Asian procurement hub in Seoul, set to open in January 2026. This hub will focus on auto parts supply and quality control, enhancing partnerships not only with Korea but also with other key Asian markets.
When asked about discussions with executives from major Korean firms, the Chairman noted that tech partnerships are expected to emerge in the next three to four years, although he did not provide specifics on potential new contracts for auto parts.
Rumors have circulated regarding Samsung's potential supply of EV batteries to Mercedes-Benz following a dinner meeting between the Chairman and executives from Samsung.

삼성전자 이재용 부회장과 LG그룹 주요 계열사 회장들과의 비공식 미팅에 대한 질문에, 칼레니우스는 향후 3~4년 내에 출현할 기술 파트너십에 대해 논의했다고 말했다.
