One worker was killed and another is feared dead among seven individuals still trapped following the collapse of a boiler tower at a thermal power plant in Ulsan, authorities reported on Friday.
According to firefighting authorities, "During a rescue operation, one worker was pronounced dead due to cardiac arrest."
The incident occurred on Thursday at the Ulsan branch of a state-run utility company. Initially, nine workers were reported trapped, but two were rescued earlier in the operation.
The collapsed boiler tower, which was 60 meters tall, was reportedly in the process of being dismantled using explosives. All trapped individuals are believed to be employees of a subcontractor.
