Global pop sensation BTS is reportedly preparing for a major world tour next year, generating significant excitement among fans as the group gears up for a full-scale comeback following the completion of their military service.
According to industry sources, BTS is planning approximately 65 performances across major cities worldwide in 2026, with over 30 of those shows expected to occur in North America, marking the group's most ambitious tour to date.
The announcement follows the completion of mandatory military service by all seven members of BTS, with Suga being the last to discharge in June. Sources indicate that the group has recently begun collaborating with HYBE on a new album, their first as a full group in six years, anticipated to be released around late March.
BTS last attempted a world tour in 2020, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they held 12 shows across four U.S. cities between 2021 and 2022. Their last full-group performance occurred in April 2022 in Las Vegas, prior to members embarking on solo projects and military enlistments.
According to a U.S. concert industry magazine, BTS earned approximately 300 million dollars from tours between 2015 and 2022, a figure that experts believe may be higher due to uncounted performances.
If the 2026 world tour is confirmed, it could potentially become one of the most lucrative tours in pop history.
