Virtual boy band PLAVE is set to make its official debut in Japan this June, marking a significant step toward global expansion.
On May 1, the group unveiled a teaser image for its upcoming Japanese debut single “Kakurenbo,” which translates to “Hide and Seek” in English, through its official social media channels. The single is scheduled for release on June 16.
The teaser image features a retro-style camcorder shot of the members standing in a quiet Japanese underpass, evoking a sense of mystery and nostalgia that hints at the single’s concept.
Pre-orders for the physical version of PLAVE’s first Japanese single will commence at 11 a.m. on May 8 via various online music retailers. The physical album is set to be officially released on July 9, with shipping to follow sequentially.
On May 2, the group launched its official Japanese fan club, signaling the beginning of full-scale activities in the country. PLAVE consists of five members — Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, and Hamin — and debuted in March 2023, quickly gaining popularity across Korea and other parts of Asia.
