Moviation, a private jet service provider, has initiated flights that traverse Russian airspace, which has been largely restricted to most European airlines following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
The service was launched through Vonaer, Moviation's online private jet booking platform, in collaboration with a private jet company based in a "third country" that has received selective approval from the Russian government for airspace access. Moviation has chosen not to disclose the identity of this private jet company or the country of its origin due to confidentiality agreements.
The newly offered flights connect Gimpo International Airport to various European destinations, utilizing previously restricted airspace. This route can reduce travel time by up to two hours when flying from Korea to major European cities such as Paris, London, Geneva, and Rome.
Moviation stated that the decision to launch these flights was driven by a significant demand for business travel anticipated between May and June. The company highlighted that Gimpo Airport features separate hangars and gateways specifically for private jets and their passengers, distinguishing it from Incheon International Airport.

이 항공편은 김포국제공항에서 유럽 국가들로 연결되며, 이전에 제한된 공역을 통과하여 한국과 파리, 런던, 제네바, 로마 등 주요 유럽 도시 간의 여행 시간을 최대 2시간 단축시킨다.
회사는 5월과 6월 사이의 비즈니스 여행 수요에 부응하기 위해 항공편을 출시했다고 밝혔다.
이 미현 전략총괄부사장은 "인천국제공항과 달리 김포공항은 개인 제트와 승객을 위한 별도의 고급 항공기 격납고와 게이트가 있다"고 전했다.
