<p>Austin Dean of the LG Twins has been named the Korean baseball Players of the Month for June. The announcement was made by the Korea Baseball Organization, highlighting Dean's standout performance over the month and his lead in several offensive categories.</p>
<p>Dean received 19 of 35 votes from the media and 125,490 of 488,764 fan votes, for a total of 39.98 voting points, placing him ahead of Kim Do-yeong of the Kia Tigers, who had 25.11 points based on one media vote and 231,514 fan votes.</p>
<p>During June, Dean led the league with 34 RBIs and a .798 slugging percentage, and tied for the league lead with 11 home runs and 34 hits. He was hitless in only four of his 25 games that month, and ranked fourth in batting average (.382) and on-base percentage (.462).</p>
<p>Dean helped the Twins post the most runs in June (147) and achieve the best monthly record (15-10-0). For the season, he leads the league with 27 home runs and a .669 slugging percentage.</p>
<p>This marks Dean’s second career Player of the Month honor, with his previous win occurring in August 2024. He will receive 3 million won in prize money and a trophy.</p>
