Yonhap</p></div></div><p class="editor-p">SK hynix has ordered new high-bandwidth memory production equipment from Hanmi Semiconductor in a deal valued at 44.2 billion won ($28.7 million), a regulatory filing showed on Monday, potentially expanding production of HBM4 for Nvidia.</p><p class="editor-p">Hanmi Semiconductor said it secured the contract to supply thermo-compression bonders for SK hynix through early September.</p><p class="editor-p">A thermo-compression bonder is a key tool used to stack DRAM chips to produce HBM.</p><p class="editor-p">Industry analysts expect the deal to cover about 15 units, given the typical price of a TC bonder around 3 billion won.</p><p class="editor-p">The upgraded TC Bonder 4.5 Griffin, replacing the TC Bonder 4.0, is designed to meet SK hynix's requirements.</p><p class="editor-p">The equipment is expected to be shipped to the new M15X fabrication facility in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.</p><p class="editor-p">SK hynix began mass production of HBM4 products in September last year, with plans to install them in Nvidia's Vera Rubin AI platform.</p><p class="editor-p">Earlier in the day, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won emphasized efforts to ensure a stable chip supply to Nvidia, noting the partnership's expansion beyond memory to a higher level.</p>

<p>한미반도체는 규제 공시에서 SK하이닉스에 대해 TC 본더를 9월 초까지 공급하기로 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.</p>
<p>TC 본더는 HBM 생산의 핵심 설비로 간주되며, 여러 개의 DRAM 칩을 적층해 HBM을 제조하는 데 사용된다.</p>
<p>업계에 따르면 TC 본더의 일반적 가격이 약 30억 원인 점을 감안할 때, 이번 계약은 15대 규모를 담은 것으로 보인다.</p>
<p>한미반도체는 TC 본더 4.5 Griffin을 공급할 예정이며, 이는 지난해 5월 발표된 TC 본더 4.0의 업그레이드 버전으로 SK하이닉스의 수요에 맞춰 최적화된 것으로 추정된다.</p>
<p>업계 관계자들은 해당 장비가 충청북도 청주시에 위치한 신규 M15X 공장으로 보내질 것이라고 밝혔다.</p>
<p>한편 SK하이닉스는 지난해 9월 HBM4 제품의 양산에 착수했으며, 이는 Nvidia의 Vera Rubin 인공지능 플랫폼에 탑재될 예정이다.</p>
<p>같은 날 SK그룹 회장 최태원은 Nvidia에 안정적인 칩 공급을 보장하기 위한 전사적 노력을 기울이고 있다고 말했다.</p>
<p>최 회장은 “지금까지의 협력은 대부분 메모리에 집중돼 왔지만, 앞으로는 협력을 더 높은 수준으로 끌어올릴 것”이라고 밝혔다.</p>
