On the romantic front, the two lead characters deepen their relationship as they investigate each case.
In-ah is portrayed by Shin Hye-sun as the no-nonsense, charismatic leader of the audit team who harbors a secret past.
Shin said she joined to move away from the darker mood of her previous project and to take on a lighter, upbeat role.
Ki-jun is played by Gong Myoung, a former top team member who was on the verge of promotion before being assigned to investigate office misconduct. Now under In-ah's authority, Ki-jun seeks revenge and aims to uncover her secrets.
Gong Myoung described his character as having masculine charm and said teaming up with Shin Hye-sun would be interesting and fun.
Joining the main pair are Kim Jae-wook and Hong Hwa-yeon, anchoring the drama’s second romance thread as Jae-yeol, the company's vice chairman and heir who hides a hollow depth, and Ah-jung, Jae-yeol's secretary, respectively.
The producer highlighted a midseries reversal in the relationship dynamic as a key element: In-ah leads the dynamic from the first to the fourth episode, with that dynamic reversing in the next four episodes as the characters’ attitudes shift.
The 12-part series is written by Yeo Eun-ho, who co-wrote the 2023 romance "Crash Course in Romance," with Yang Hee-seung serving as the series’ creator. It is set to premiere this Saturday.

'감사'라는 단어가 단순한 직장 드라마를 연상시킬 수 있지만, 이 시리즈는 커플과 불륜에서부터 직장 내 괴롭힘에 이르기까지 다양한 주제를 따뜻하고 코믹하게 다룬다고 제작진은 온라인 기자간담회에서 말했다.
이 시리즈는 에피소드 형식으로 구성되며, 스릴러, 코미디, 로맨스 등 여러 장르를 넘나든다고 한다. 시청하기 쉽게 균형을 맞추려 했다고 덧붙였다.
로맨스 측면에서 "주연 남녀가 각 사건을 조사하며 관계가 조용히 깊어지게 된다"고 말했다.
감사팀의 냉철하고 카리스마 있는 리더 역을 맡은 배우는 과거에 비밀을 간직한 인물을 연기했다.
그 배우는 이전의 어두운 톤의 시리즈에서 벗어나기 위해 이 캐스팅 제안을 수락했다고 말했다.
"그 시리즈를 정말 즐겼지만 다소 어두웠다. 그 분위기에서 벗어나 밝고 경쾌한 시리즈에서 역할을 맡고 싶었다고 말했다."
팀의 전성기였으나 승진 직전에 직장 내 비위를 수사하는 역할로 변경된 인물을 연기한다.
현재는 상사의 지배 아래 있으며, 그 인물은 상사에 맞서려 하고 그녀의 비밀을 파헤치려 한다.
"그 캐릭터는 남성적 매력이 있어 매력적이다. 게다가 여배우와의 호흡이 정말 흥미롭고 재미있는 듀오가 될 것이라고 생각했다"고 말했다.
주연 커플 외에도 두 번째 로맨스 축을 이끄는 인물로, 회사의 부회장이자 상속자 역할과 그의 비서가 등장한다.
제작진은 관계 역학의 중간 전환을 시리즈의 핵심 요소로 꼽았다. "초반 1~4화에서는 한 인물이 이끌지만, 이후 4화 이후 두 인물의 태도가 달라지며 역전된다"고 말했다.
12부작으로 구성되며, 시리즈는 공동 작가가 2023년의 로맨스 드라마를 쓴 것으로 알려졌고, 시리즈의 창작자가 제작에 참여한다. 이번 주 토요일에 첫 방송될 예정이다.
