Korean Air plans to purchase 103 aircraft from Boeing in a deal valued at about $36.2 billion based on 2025 list prices, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday.
The order, first announced in August, includes 20 Boeing 777-9s, 25 Boeing 787-10s, 50 Boeing 737-10s and eight Boeing 777-8 freighter aircraft.
The filing states that the total investment for the confirmed purchase of 103 new aircraft is approximately $36.1643 billion, though the amount may fluctuate due to exchange rates and other factors.
The agreement was initially signed in Washington in August during a meeting of Korean and U.S. business representatives overseen by U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. At that time, the deal, which also includes spare engines from GE Aerospace, was valued at about $50 billion according to the company.
On the same day, U.S. President Donald Trump met with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, weeks after both nations agreed to trade deals tied to substantial investments in the United States.
