Ponce, who had previously dominated the Lions in the regular season, reflected on his performance, asserting that he executed many good pitches but was met with effective hitting from the opposing team. "I think that Samsung did very well with hitting and they had a great approach," he stated, acknowledging the Lions' skill in capitalizing on his pitches.
Looking ahead, Ponce expressed confidence in his ability to improve if given another opportunity to pitch against the Lions. He noted that this was only his second encounter with them that year and anticipated that additional experience would enhance his performance in future matchups.
