Two men have been arrested on charges of kidnapping and attempting to murder a well-known gaming YouTuber with over 1 million subscribers in Incheon.
Incheon Yeonsu Police announced on Thursday that they detained a man in his 20s and another in his 30s on charges of attempted murder and joint confinement.
Judge Yoo A-ram of the Incheon District Court issued arrest warrants, citing concerns regarding the suspects' potential flight risk.
According to police reports, the suspects abducted the victim, a man in his 30s, around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday in the underground parking lot of an apartment complex in Songdo International City, Incheon.
The suspects allegedly lured the victim by claiming they would repay borrowed money, then forced him into a vehicle and drove approximately 200 kilometers to Geumsan County, South Chungcheong Province, where they attempted to kill him using a blunt weapon.
Prior to the incident, the victim had contacted police, warning that his life was in danger. Investigators tracked the suspects through CCTV footage and arrested them in a park in Geumsan around 2:40 a.m. on Monday, roughly four hours after the abduction. The victim sustained facial injuries from the assault but was reported to be in stable condition.
Police indicated that the suspects had financial disputes with the victim, who stated that the pair owed him money.

경찰에 따르면, 용의자들은 30대 남성인 피해자를 일요일 오후 10시 40분경 송도 국제도시의 한 아파트 지하주차장에서 납치했다.
그들은 빌린 돈을 갚겠다고 주장하며 피해자를 유인한 후, 차량에 강제로 태워 약 200킬로미터 떨어진 충청남도 금산으로 이동해 둔기로 그를 살해하려 했다.
피해자는 만남 전에 자신의 생명에 위협을 느껴 경찰에 연락한 것으로 알려졌다. 수사관들은 CCTV 영상을 통해 용의자들을 추적하고 납치사건 발생 약 4시간 후인 월요일 오전 2시 40분경 금산의 한 공원에서 그들을 체포했다. 피해자는 폭행으로 얼굴에 상처를 입었으나 중태는 아닌 상태이다.
경찰에 따르면, 용의자들은 피해자와 금전적인 분쟁을 가지고 있었으며, 피해자는 이들이 자신에게 돈을 빚졌다고 진술했다.
