GOYANG, Gyeonggi Province — Kia’s modular van, the PV5, emphasizes the essential role of modern vehicles in transporting people and goods. The multipurpose electric van made its global debut in February, following the introduction of the carmaker’s innovative platform concept at the 2024 CES in Las Vegas.
The PV5 is available in two configurations: Passenger and Cargo, catering to different usage needs. The Passenger variant is designed for family use, offering a comfortable and spacious interior. During a test drive from KINTEX in Goyang to a cafe on Yeongjong Island in Incheon, the five-seater electric van demonstrated smooth acceleration and power, completing the journey in 30 minutes.
Challenging the common perception that vans lack comfort compared to sedans or SUVs, the PV5 Passenger model provided a quiet ride, akin to that of electric SUVs. The electric engine effectively reduced road vibrations, enhancing the overall driving experience.
