Artificial intelligence (AI) startup WRTN has entered into a partnership with LG AI Research to implement the large language model (LLM) EXAONE for a nationwide AI literacy initiative. This collaboration aims to enhance the strategic cooperation between the two companies to maximize synergies for the project.
The national AI literacy initiative is a government effort designed to bolster the country's AI competitiveness by making AI technology more accessible to the public through educational programs and by expanding the AI technology ecosystem.
In alignment with these goals, WRTN recently established a strategic partnership with another company to develop high-performance and energy-efficient reasoning infrastructure. The new agreement with LG AI Research further strengthens this commitment.
WRTN's CEO emphasized the importance of enhancing AI literacy among citizens as a foundational step in boosting national AI competitiveness. The company aims to collaborate with various organizations to ensure that AI technology provides tangible benefits in everyday life, extending its impact beyond research environments.
Under the terms of the partnership, WRTN and LG AI Research will work closely together on the initiative.

전국 AI 리터러시는 교육 프로그램을 통해 AI의 대중 접근성을 높이고 AI 기술 생태계를 확장함으로써 국가의 AI 경쟁력을 강화하는 것을 목표로 하는 정부 프로젝트이다. 이러한 노력의 일환으로, WRTN은 지난달 FuriosaAI와 전략적 파트너십을 체결하여 고성능 및 에너지 효율적인 추론 인프라를 구축하기로 했으며, 이번 LG AI 연구소와의 협약은 이러한 노력을 더욱 강화한다.
WRTN의 CEO 이세영은 보도 자료에서 “국가의 AI 경쟁력 강가는 각 시민의 AI 리터러시 강화를 통해 시작된다”며 “AI가 연구실 내에서뿐만 아니라 사람들의 일상 생활에서도 실질적인 가치를 제공할 수 있도록 다양한 기업들과 긴밀히 협력할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
협약에 따라 두 회사는 한국어로 전환할 예정이다.
