Choi Min-ho, a member of the K-pop group SHINee and an accomplished actor, expressed that his recent involvement in theater has significantly contributed to his personal and professional development. In an interview held at the Seoul Arts Center Opera House in Seocho District, Seoul, Choi discussed his role in the play “Rendezvous.”
The play features a narrative centered on Taeseop, a rocket scientist, and Jihee, a dancer seeking freedom through movement. Their unexpected encounter prompts them to confront their emotional challenges. Choi portrays Taeseop, a character who appears cold and rational but conceals profound pain and loneliness.
“Rendezvous” marks Choi's second theatrical performance, following his successful debut in “Waiting for Waiting for Godot,” which sold out all its shows. Choi remarked, “I’ve started to feel regret when each performance is coming to an end. As I continue, I’ve grown more thoughtful and grounded. It’s hard to say goodbye.”
He also acknowledged initial concerns during the production's early stages, stating, “I had my own anxiety and uncertainty, but as the performance progressed, I became more confident.”

"랑데뷰"는 그의 두 번째 연극 출연으로, 모든 공연이 매진된 "고도를 기다리며"에서의 성공적인 무대 데뷔 이후에 이루어졌다. 최민호는 "각 공연이 끝날 때마다 후회가 느껴지기 시작했다"며 "계속할수록 더욱 사려 깊고 grounded해졌다. 작별을 고하는 것이 힘들다"고 말했다.
그는 제작 초기 단계에서 우려가 있었다고 인정했다. "나에게도 불안과 불확실함이 있었지만, 공연을 거듭하면서 극복해 나갔다"고 덧붙였다.
