Jeju Air announced on Thursday the launch of a new route to Hakodate, Japan, set to begin next month as part of its efforts to expand its service network in response to increasing summer travel demand.
The low-cost carrier will operate two weekly flights on the Incheon-Hakodate route starting June 5, with plans to increase the frequency to four flights per week beginning July 1.
Hakodate, located on Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island, is noted for its mild summer climate, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities such as golf and hiking.
Additionally, Jeju Air indicated intentions to enhance flight frequencies on other routes to Japan, including Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Osaka, in the coming months to improve travel convenience for passengers.

하코다테는 일본 북부 섬인 홋카이도의 주요 도시 중 하나로, 이 도시의 온화한 여름 기후는 골프 및 하이킹과 같은 야외 활동을 즐기기에 적합한 여행지로 알려져 있다.
제주항공은 또한 향후 몇 달간 후쿠오카, 히로시마, 오사카 등 일본의 다른 노선에 대한 항공편을 확대할 계획이라고 전했다.
