JTBC has filed a criminal complaint against Studio C1 and producer Jang Si-won, alleging ongoing infringement of the broadcaster’s intellectual property rights concerning the program "A Clean Sweep."
On Tuesday, JTBC announced that it submitted a formal complaint accusing Studio C1 and Jang of violating copyright law and trademark law, breaching trust, damaging electronic records, and obstructing business operations.
According to JTBC, the copyright violation arises from Studio C1's production of a sequel series that mirrors the format of "A Clean Sweep" Seasons 1 to 3, for which JTBC maintains full intellectual property rights.
"A Clean Sweep" is a baseball competition program featuring amateur players competing against legendary professional athletes to determine the ultimate winning team.
Furthermore, JTBC claims that Studio C1 produced "Kim Sung-keun’s Winter Break," a spin-off that resembles "A Clean Sweep," and distributed it to another streaming platform without authorization, which JTBC argues is a further infringement of its proprietary rights.
The complaint also includes charges of trademark infringement, alleging that Studio C1's actions have harmed JTBC's brand and business interests.

또한 JTBC는 Studio C1이 "A Clean Sweep"을 닮은 스핀오프 프로그램인 "김성근의 겨울 방학"을 제작하고 무단으로 다른 스트리밍 플랫폼에 제공한 것을 JTBC의 독점 권리 침해로 주장했습니다. 고소장은 상표 침해 혐의도 포함하고 있습니다.
