Samsung, Hyundai chiefs to accompany Yoon on Singapore trip


A delegation of prominent business figures, including Samsung Electronics Co. Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Euisun Chung, will accompany President Yoon Suk Yeol on his upcoming trip to Singapore. President Yoon is scheduled to visit the Philippines, Singapore, and Laos as part of a three-nation tour to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit and engage in bilateral discussions. During their time in Singapore, Lee and Chung are expected to participate in various business activities, with Chung planning to visit the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore, a key research facility for the automaker's future mobility projects. However, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will not be part of the business delegation on this particular visit. The business leaders, including Lee and Chung, are set to join President Yoon Suk Yeol on his trip to Singapore next week. President Yoon's itinerary includes stops in the Philippines, Singapore, and Laos for engagements related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit and bilateral discussions. Lee is anticipated to participate in several business events during their time in Singapore, while Chung plans to visit the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore, a strategic research facility for the company's future mobility initiatives. Notably, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will not be accompanying the delegation on this visit to Singapore.
