Courtesy of Kookmin University </p></div></div><p class="editor-p">Kookmin University will host the second IFIP WG 8.4 International Symposium on E-Business Information Systems Evolution (EBISION 2026) at its campus in Seoul from July 8-10, the university announced Tuesday.</p><p class="editor-p">The symposium is an official flagship event of Working Group 8.4 (WG 8.4) of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), a leading international nonprofit organization dedicated to information and communication technologies and sciences.</p><p class="editor-p">The university said EBISION 2026 is organized to provide an international academic forum for sharing the latest research achievements and industry trends in areas such as e-business, ICT convergence, information security and data-driven digital innovation.</p><p class="editor-p">You Il-sun, a professor at the university’s Department of Information Security, Cryptography and Mathematics, will chair the event. He currently serves as director of the university-affiliated Global ICT Convergence Security Innovation Research Center.</p><p class="editor-p">“EBISION 2026 brings together researchers and industry experts in e-business information systems and ICT convergence security to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the future digital landscape,” You said in a statement.</p><p class="editor-p">“We hope this symposium will further strengthen Korea and Kookmin University’s position as a global hub for ICT convergence security research and expand international industry-academia collaboration,” he added.</p><p class="editor-p">The three-day event brings together researchers and industry professionals from 11 countries, including Denmark, Greece, Spain, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Indonesia.</p><p class="editor-p">The symposium will feature 91 peer-reviewed papers with 50 oral presentations and 41 poster presentations. More than half of the presenters are international researchers affiliated with overseas institutions, highlighting the conference’s global reach.</p><p class="editor-p">Kookmin University noted that keynote speeches and invited sessions will feature leading researchers in the fields of ICT and security.</p><p class="editor-p">Keynote speakers include Professor Tei-Wei Kuo, former vice president of National Taiwan University and current chief technology officer of Delta Electronics; Nicola Dragoni, a professor from the Technical University of Denmark and renowned cybersecurity researcher in the Nordic region; and professor Antonio F. Skarmeta of the University of Murcia in Spain, who has led major security projects in the European Union.</p><p class="editor-p">In the invited session, Manos Varvarigos, vice rector of the National Technical University of Athens, will participate as a speaker and share research achievements on next-generation network architectures and high-performance computing security.</p><p class="editor-p">The session will address key topics shaping the future digital environment, including artificial intelligence-driven digital transformation, cyber threat intelligence, data security and trusted information sharing.</p><p class="editor-p">An industry session will also be held to share the latest technological trends and developments in the industry. Eight companies, including KT, will present and demonstrate their latest technologies.</p><p class="editor-p">Among the participating corporations are ZenmuTech of Japan, Sangfor Technologies of China and AI DataBrushing Technology Co. of Taiwan.</p><p class="editor-p">KT is scheduled to introduce its vision for a “Four-Layer Network Security Framework for the AI and Quantum Era,” demonstrating the practical application of cutting-edge research while fostering stronger global industry-academia collaboration.</p>

<p>EBISION 2026은 전자상거래, ICT 융합, 정보보안, 데이터 기반 디지털 혁신 등 분야의 최신 연구 성과와 산업 트렌드를 공유하는 국제 학술 포럼을 제공하기 위해 기획됐다.</p>
<p>이유일 정보보안, 암호학 및 수학과 교수는 행사를 주재하며, 대학 소속 글로벌 ICT 융합 보안 혁신 연구센터의 소장으로 활동하고 있다.</p>
<p>유 교수는 “EBISION 2026은 전자상거래 정보시스템과 ICT 융합 보안 분야의 연구자와 업계 전문가를 한데 모아 향후 디지털 환경에서의 가장 시급한 도전과 기회를 논의한다”고 말했다.</p>
<p>그는 또한 이번 심포지엄이 한국과 국민대의 ICT 융합 보안 연구 글로벌 허브로서의 위상을 더욱 강화하고 국제 산업-학계 협력을 확장하기를 기대한다고 덧붙였다.</p>
<p>삼일 간의 행사에는 덴마크, 그리스, 스페인, 일본, 대만, 홍콩, 태국, 방글라데시, 필리핀, 인도네시아를 포함한 11개국의 연구원과 업계 전문가가 모인다.</p>
<p>심포지엄은 91편의 동료심사를 거친 논문 가운데 50편의 구두 발표와 41편의 포스터 발표를 선보인다. 발표자의 절반 이상이 해외 기관에 소속된 국제 연구자들로, 이번 행사의 글로벌 규모를 강조한다.</p>
<p>국민대는 기조연설과 초청 세션에서 ICT와 보안 분야의 선도 연구자들이 참여한다고 밝혔다.</p>
<p>주요 기조 연사는 타이완 국립대학 전 부총장 겸 델타일렉트로닉스의 최고기술책임자(CTO)인 쿠오 오이웨이 교수, 덴마크 기술대학의 사이버 보안 연구로 유명한 드라고니나 콤피니 교수(노르딕 지역), 스페인 무르시아 대학교의 스카르메타 교수 등이 포함된다.</p>
<p>초청 세션에는 아테네 공과대학의 만노스 바르바리고스 부총장이 차세대 네트워크 아키텍처와 고성능 컴퓨팅 보안에 관한 연구 성과를 발표한다.</p>
<p>세션은 인공지능 주도 디지털 트랜스포메이션, 사이버 위협 정보, 데이터 보안 및 신뢰할 수 있는 정보 공유 등 미래의 디지털 환경을 형성하는 주요 주제를 다룰 예정이다.</p>
<p>산업 세션도 열려 업계의 최신 기술 동향과 발전을 공유한다. 한국의 주요 통신사 KT를 포함한 여덟 개 기업이 최신 기술을 발표하고 시연한다.</p>
<p>참여 기업으로는 일본의 비밀 공유 기술기업 젠뮤테크, 중국 사이버보안 기업 상포테크놀로지스, 대만의 보안 기술 기업 AI DataBrushing Technology Co.가 있다.</p>
<p>KT는 “AI 및 양자 시대를 위한 4계층 네트워크 보안 프레임워크” 비전을 소개하며 최첨단 연구의 실제 적용을 선보이고 글로벌 산업-학계 협력을 강화할 예정이다.</p>
