Yonhap</p></div></div><p class="editor-p">Hyundai Motor’s labor union initiated a three-day partial strike on Monday, potentially disrupting production at the country’s largest automaker.</p><p class="editor-p">Workers on both daytime and evening shifts will halt work for two hours daily from Monday to Wednesday after negotiations over a collective bargaining agreement stalled, according to a regulatory filing.</p><p class="editor-p">This action marks the union’s first walkout of the year and the second consecutive year of strike activity.</p><p class="editor-p">The two sides have conducted 15 rounds of wage talks this year without a resolution on pay.</p><p class="editor-p">Management has proposed an increase in monthly base pay of 80,000 won, a performance bonus equivalent to 350 percent of the monthly salary plus 10 million won, and 15 shares of company stock. The union is seeking a larger wage increase and a performance-based pay component amounting to 30 percent of the company’s net profit for the previous year.</p>

이번 파업은 노조의 올해 첫 노동 행보이자 지난해에 이은 두 번째 연례 파업으로 기록된다.
양측은 올해 임금협상을 15차례 진행했으나 급여를 둘러싼 차이를 좁히지 못했다.
회사는 기본급 인상 8만 원, 매월 지급되는 성과급 350%에 해당하는 보너스와 1000만 원, 그리고 회사 주식 15주를 제시했다.
노조는 지난해 순이익의 30%에 해당하는 성과급과 더 큰 임금 인상을 요구하는 등 더 높은 임금 인상을 주장하고 있다.
