ENA’s thriller “Honour” follows a team of lawyers taking on a powerful sex trafficking cartel, echoing real-world scandals surrounding digital sexual exploitation.
The drama centers on three attorneys at the victim advocacy firm L&J (Listen & Join) who investigate the shadowy digital platform “Connect In,” marking actor Lee Na‑young’s return to television after a three-year hiatus.
Lee portrays Yun Ra‑yeong, a celebrity lawyer with a large online following whose public image conceals personal trauma. Viewers have praised her restrained performance.
In a meeting with The Korea Times, Lee described her initial curiosity about the script and her decision to join the project after considering the role deeply.
She initially expected the role to be straightforward, involving mainly memorizing lines, but filming revealed the emotional depth of every scene.

The character’s motivations are rooted in a two-decade-old experience of sexual assault and dating violence, shaping her work defending female crime victims alongside colleagues Kang Shin-jae and Hwang Hyun-jin.
Lee said Ra-yeong is portrayed with hidden wounds and a public-facing composure, aiming to express complex layers truthfully.
Filming left a lasting emotional impression for Lee, who noted that many lines felt like personal affirmations and that the drama emphasizes empathy and solidarity with victims rather than forcing them to move on.

Confronting evil
Lee emphasized that the drama avoids pressuring victims and instead conveys a sense of quiet support and shared resilience.
She described the broader focus as addressing various forms of evil and highlighting solidarity with those affected by injustice.
Regarding future projects, Lee said she has not decided her next role and plans to choose based on instinct, noting a trend toward more diverse and nuanced female characters in contemporary dramas.
