"Golden," the hit single from the soundtrack of the Netflix animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters," has secured the top position on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the second consecutive week. The latest chart, released on Friday (local time), reveals that "Golden" outperformed "No Broke Boys" by Disco Lines & Tinashe.
The song, performed by the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x, features contributions from Ejae, a composer trained at SM Entertainment; Korean American singer Audrey Nuna; and South Korean-born U.S. artist Rei Ami. It marks the first K-pop song to achieve No. 1 on the British chart in 13 years, following Psy's "Gangnam Style" in 2012.
Additionally, "Golden" has also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States earlier this week. Other tracks from the soundtrack have also seen success on the British chart, with "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol" ranking third and sixth, respectively, while "Takedown" reached the 31st position.
