"Golden," the hit single from the original soundtrack of the Netflix animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters," has achieved the top position on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the second time. The chart, released on Friday, shows "Golden" reclaiming the No. 1 spot after surpassing "The Subway" by Chappel Roan, which held the top spot the previous week.
This is the second time "Golden" has topped the chart, having previously reached No. 1 two weeks ago. The song is performed by the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x and features contributions from Ejae, a composer trained at SM Entertainment, Korean American singer Audrey Nuna, and South Korean-born U.S. artist Rei Ami.
Notably, "Golden" marks the first K-pop song to reach No. 1 in the UK in 13 years, following Psy's "Gangnam Style" in 2012. Additionally, "Golden" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States earlier this week.
Other tracks from the soundtrack also achieved notable positions on the British chart, with "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol" ranking sixth and seventh, respectively, while "Takedown" secured the 35th spot.
