With this draw, Bayern Munich maintains an eight-point lead over Leverkusen, sitting at 76 points compared to Leverkusen's 68. The team finished third in the previous season, ending an 11-year title streak.
Under the guidance of new head coach Vincent Kompany, Bayern reached the top of the table after the third match of the current season and has not lost their lead since then.
