Slew of top K-pop stars ready to return from military

Numerous prominent K-pop artists, including J-Hope of BTS and Monsta X's Minhyuk, are preparing to return to the music scene following completion of their mandatory military service. Minhyuk recently wrapped up his service, becoming the first member of Monsta X to do so. Currently, only Shownu and Minhyuk from Monsta X have fulfilled their military duties, with the expectation for the entire group to be reunited by next year. Ong Seongwu, known for his participation in "Produce 101" and subsequent acting career, will also be discharged on October 16 after remaining active in the industry since 2019. Other notable K-pop stars awaiting discharge from the military include Jay B and Jinyoung of GOT7 in November, followed by Seungyoon and Mino of Winner in December. Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of these artists as full groups, with Winner already planning a comeback next year and BTS expected to release a group album in 2025 after all seven members have completed their service. Looking ahead, RM, Jungkook, V, Jimin, and Suga of BTS are scheduled to be discharged in June of the following year.
