Solo debut rush of K-pop artists

In the second half of this year, the K-pop industry will see the solo debuts of several prominent artists. Yoon San-ha of Astro has released his debut solo mini-album "Dusk," marking a significant milestone in his career. The album features six tracks that represent various stages of dusk, reflecting the journey from sundown to deep night. San-ha, who debuted as the youngest member of Astro in 2016, has been steadily developing his solo musicality, contributing to the group's albums and releasing his own compositions. Tzuyu of Twice is set to make her solo debut, following in the footsteps of Nayeon and Jihyo. Her debut album, "AbouTzu," is expected to present a fresh perspective on Tzuyu as a solo artist. The trailer video for the album creates a dreamlike atmosphere with surreal props like multiple clocks and waves crashing inside picture frames. Tzuyu's solo debut comes after the group's successful world tour, "Ready To Be," which concluded in Japan, solidifying their status as global stadium artists. SM Entertainment has a star-studded lineup for the third quarter, including the solo debuts of EXO's Chanyeol, Red Velvet's Irene, and NCT's Jaehyun. Chanyeol is gearing up for his solo debut with a live tour, "2024 Chanyeol Live Tour: Cityscape," following his fan tour across Asia and a performance at the TMEA 2024 music festival in China. Meanwhile, specific details about Irene and Jaehyun's solo debuts are eagerly anticipated by fans. Irene recently marked Red Velvet's 10th anniversary with the mini album "Cosmic," and Jaehyun's group NCT 127 will host fan meetings to celebrate their eighth anniversary.
