SM reveals first British K-pop group 'Dear Alice'


K-pop giant SM Entertainment unveiled their inaugural British K-pop boy band, "Dear Alice," during a press conference at London's Soho Hotel. The group, composed of Dexter Greenwood, James Sharp, Blaise Noon, Oliver Quinn, and Reese Carter, is a joint venture between SM Entertainment, Kakao Entertainment's North American branch, and the British entertainment company Moon & Back. While the British company handled talent scouting in the UK, SM Entertainment contributed its expertise in K-pop music, vocals, and choreography. During the press conference, member Dexter Greenwood expressed gratitude for the incredible support they received during their training at SM Entertainment, emphasizing that it enabled them to embark on new experiences and ultimately form their team. "Dear Alice" will launch their promotional activities with a six-part TV series titled "Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience," which will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in August. The show will document the members' 100-day K-pop training journey in Seoul. Dear Alice, the first British boy band under SM Entertainment, was officially introduced at a press conference in London's Soho Hotel.
