<p>Samsung Electronics announced its first co-branded credit card in the United States, expanding its digital wallet ecosystem ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Samsung Galaxy Card is issued by Barclays U.S. Consumer Bank and operates on the Visa network.</p>
<p>The card provides tiered cash rewards, including 5 percent on eligible Samsung purchases, 3 percent on purchases through Samsung Wallet, 2 percent on select streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify, and 1 percent on all other purchases. New cardholders can earn a $200 bonus after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days.</p>
<p>Applications for eligible customers begin on Tuesday, with general public access opening on Wednesday, the same day as the Galaxy Unpacked event where new Galaxy devices are expected to be unveiled. Cardholders also receive a 20 percent discount on Samsung VIP Advantage memberships.</p>
