AFP-Yonhap</p></div></div><p class="editor-p">Two South Korean golfers finished as runners-up at a LPGA team event, with Choi Hye-jin seeking her first LPGA title on the tour.</p><p class="editor-p">Choi and Kim Hyo-joo finished two strokes behind the American duo Gina Kim and Yana Wilson, posting a 15-under 265 at the Dow Championship at Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan, on Sunday local time.</p><p class="editor-p">The Koreans had a bogey-free round of five-under 65 in the final round, while Kim and Wilson shot a 62 with six birdies and an eagle to seal the win.</p><p class="editor-p">The event used alternate-shot (foursomes) formats in the first and third rounds and fourball formats in the second and final rounds, where players’ individual scores counted toward the team total.</p><p class="editor-p">Choi and Kim started the final round with a one-stroke lead at 10-under, aiming to become the second consecutive Korean pair to win the Dow Championship following Im Jin-hee and Lee So-mi.</p><p class="editor-p">Choi briefly extended the lead to 11-under, but the Americans responded with a birdie to close within one, then took the lead after Gina Kim holed out an eagle on the fifth to reach 12-under.</p><p class="editor-p">The teams were tied at 13-under at the turn, but Wilson and Kim posted four birdies on the back nine to secure victory, while Choi and Kim could manage only two.</p><p class="editor-p">Choi, who joined the LPGA Tour in 2022 after accumulating 11 national titles from 2017–2020, was seeking her first LPGA title in her 114th start, marking her fourth career runner-up finish. Kim Hyo-joo, already with two titles in 2026, aimed to join world No. 1 Nelly Korda as a three-time winner on the tour this year.</p><p class="editor-p">This event marked the first-time pairing for Choi and Kim at a tournament. Choi previously teamed with An Narin in 2022, tying for sixth, while Kim previously teamed with Ji Eun-hee in 2019 and 2021, tying for sixth and 17th respectively.</p><p class="editor-p">Among other South Korean teams, Im and Lee tied for third in defending their title at 14-under, and Kim A-lim and Yoon Ina tied for seventh at 11-under.</p>
