<p class="editor-p">Dongwha Electrolyte has secured a long-term supply agreement with a Chinese lithium salt producer, strengthening its access to a key battery material amid rising demand from electric vehicles and energy storage systems.</p>
<p class="editor-p">The electrolyte manufacturing subsidiary said the exclusive purchasing deal covers lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), the standard electrolyte salt in commercial lithium-ion batteries. Financial terms, contract duration and volumes were not disclosed.</p>
<p class="editor-p">The supplier specializes in LiPF6 and operates an annual capacity of about 5,000 tons, equivalent to supplying roughly 35,000 tons of electrolytes.</p>
<p class="editor-p">With the agreement, Dongwha Electrolyte expects to secure critical raw materials in advance and improve its cost structure as LiPF6 demand grows with the expansion of the energy storage system and electric vehicle markets.</p>
<p class="editor-p">The company’s leadership said the deal provides a foundation for supplying high-quality electrolytes without disruption amid raw material price volatility and supports diversification of supply chains across regulatory environments.</p>
<p class="editor-p">Dongwha Electrolyte is pursuing a two-track sourcing strategy to expand market share, including region-specific procurement systems tailored to local conditions. In deregulated markets, it will deepen ties with Chinese suppliers; in more regulated markets, it will supply products from its domestic manufacturing partner to meet local demand.</p>
<p class="editor-p">The company emphasized efforts to minimize exposure to external volatility through a regionally tailored supply framework and to strengthen ties with solvent manufacturers while pursuing in-house and joint development of additives to stabilize procurement.</p>

<p>해당 회사는 동화엔터프라이즈의 전해질 제조 자회사로서, 이번 독점 구매 계약이 상용 리튬인산염/리튬_hexafluorophosphate(LiPF6)로 알려진 표준 전해질 염을 다루며, 계약의 재정 조건, 기간 및 물량은 공개되지 않았다고 밝혔다.</p>
<p>선예스 중녕은 LiPF6 제조를 전문으로 하며 연간 약 5,000톤의 생산 능력을 운영하고 있어 약 3만5천 톤의 전해질 공급에 해당한다.</p>
<p> 이번 계약으로 동화 전해질은 핵심 원자재를 미리 확보하고 비용 구조를 개선할 수 있을 것으로 기대하는 한편, LiPF6에 대한 수요 증가에 대응하고 있다.</p>
<p>회사의 CEO 승지용은 “이 계약은 원자재 가격의 변동성에도 불구하고 고객에게 고품질 전해질을 공급하는 데 필요한 기반을 제공한다”고 말했다.</p>
<p>또한 “다양한 규제 환경에 걸친 공급망 다각화를 통해 불확실성에 대응하고 시장에서의 위치를 더욱 공고히 할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.</p>
<p>회사는 원자재 조달의 두 가지 전략을 가속화해 시장 점유율 확대를 추진하고 있으며, 지역별 시장 조건에 맞춘 조달 시스템 수립을 계획하고 있다.</p>
<p>별개의 규제 제약이 없는 시장에서는 중국 공급업체와의 관계를 심화해 비용과 품질 모두에서 경쟁력 있는 전해질을 공급할 계획이다.</p>
<p>규제가 더 엄격한 시장에서는 국내 제조 파트너인 PGT의 제품을 공급해 현지 수요에 더 유연하게 대응하려 한다.</p>
<p>회사는 “외부 변동에 대한 노출을 최소화하고 지역별 맞춤 공급 프레임워크를 통해 시장 불확실성을 적극 관리하는 것이 목표”라고 밝혔다.</p>
<p>동화 전해질은 용매 제조업체와의 관계도 강화하고 있으며, 조달 안정성을 위해 첨가제의 자체 개발 및 공동 개발도 추진하고 있다.</p>
