TWICE member Momo revealed that she had a tooth extracted in Chicago due to the group’s world tour schedule preventing a timely return to Korea for treatment. She informed fans on a communications platform that the left side of her face may still appear swollen.
The singer said the dental issue caused severe pain, preventing sleep during the Chicago leg of the tour, and she visited a local dentist the following morning. She explained the tooth had previously undergone root canal treatment, but the problem worsened and required care in Korea. With more than a week remaining on the tour, returning home was not feasible.
She noted the extraction was not originally planned but was deemed necessary because of the concert schedule, expressing reluctance about the decision. She also indicated that she would likely need a dental implant upon returning to Korea.
TWICE has been on its sixth world tour, This Is For, since July of the previous year. The demanding schedule has affected several members, including Dahyun, who sustained a ankle injury and later a fracture requiring a pause in activities, and Chaeyoung, who delayed departure due to back problems and treatment.

“시카고에서 이를 뽑았어요.” 그는 왼쪽 얼굴이 아직 부어 보인다면 이해를 부탁한다며 팬들에게 양해를 구했다.
모모는 그룹의 시카고 방문 중 통증이 너무 심해 잠을 잘 수 없었고, 다음 날 아침 현지 치과를 방문했다고 밝혔다. 그는 해당 이는 이전에 신경치료를 받았으나 상태가 악화되어 한국에서 추가 치료가 필요했다고 전했다. 투어 일정이 한 주가 넘게 남아 있어 귀국은 불가했다.
“원래 뽑을 필요가 없었지만 콘서트 때문에 시간이 없었다,” 그녀는 말했다. “원하지 않았지만 뽑아야 할 선택밖에 없었다.”
그녀는 한국에 돌아가면 임플란트가 필요할 가능성이 있다고 덧붙였다.
TWICE는 지난해 7월부터 여섯 번째 월드 투어 “This Is For”를 이어오고 있다. 빡빡한 일정은 멤버들에게 부담을 주고 있다.
투어 초기에 발목을 다친 다현은 골절로 진단되어 회복에 집중하기 위해 활동을 중단하겠다고 3월에 발표했다. 채영도 등 통증으로 치료를 받으며 출국을 미뤘다.
