Cheong Wa Dae planned an emergency economic review meeting with relevant ministries to coordinate responses to potential impacts from ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
The meeting will be presided over by the presidential chief of staff for policy, with participation from vice ministers of the finance, foreign affairs, industry, energy and public safety ministries, along with senior presidential aides. It is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will address rapid implementation of a 26.2 trillion-won supplementary budget approved by the Cabinet, as well as Korea's response to fallout from the Middle East conflict amid high-level talks between the United States and Iran.
청와대는 이번 주말 동향에 따른 잠재적 영향에 대응하기 위해 관련 부처와 함께 비상 경제 점검 회의를 소집할 예정이다. 정책 비서실장을 맡고 있는 김용범 대통령 비서실장이 회의를 주재하며, 오후 2시에 열릴 예정이라고 대통령실은 밝혔다. 재정·외교·산업·에너지·행정안전부 차관 및 대통령실 고위 보좌관들이 함께 참석한다. 참석자들은 화요일 국무회의에서 확정된 26조2천억원 규모의 추가경정예산의 신속한 시행 방안과 중동 분쟁으로 인한 여파에 대한 한국의 대응 방안을 논의할 것으로 보인다. 미국과 이란 간의 고위급 대화를 둘러싼 상황도 논의될 전망이다.
