Kim Hyo-joo secured her second consecutive LPGA title, moving to a career-high No. 3 in the world rankings. The latest rankings release on Tuesday elevated her from No. 4 after her latest victory.
Kim climbed to the top three following her win at the Ford Championship in Phoenix, seven days after capturing the Fortinet Founders Cup near San Francisco. Her two wins in rapid succession propelled her from No. 8 to No. 4, then up one more position this week.
In the latest rankings, Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand remained No. 1, while Nelly Korda of the United States stayed at No. 2 after finishing as Kim’s runner-up in each of the past two tournaments. Kim Sei-young, the only other South Korean in the top 10, slipped to No. 10.

김효주는 화요일 발표된 여성 골프 세계 랭킹에서 3위로 한 계단 상승했다. 잉글랜드의 채리 훌이 3위에서 4위로 떨어졌다.
김효주는 주말에 피닉스에서 열린 포드 차밍피 선수권 대회에서 우승했고, 일주일 전 샌프란시스코 인근에서 열린 포타넷 파운더스 컵 대회에서도 우승했다.
두 대회 중 첫 승으로 김은 당시 커리어 하이였던 4위에서 한 계단 더 올라 3위에 올랐다.
태국의 지누티톡 티티쿨은 여전히 1위를 유지하고 있다. 미국의 넬리 코르다 역시 지난 두 대회에서 김의 준우승으로 2위를 유지했다.
한국 선수 중 유일하게 상위 10위 안에 들었던 강소형은 10위로 한 계단 밀렸다.
