Ulsan HD FC has announced the departure of attackers Gustav Ludwigson and Um Won-sang as part of a squad overhaul following a disappointing 2025 season.
Ludwigson, a Swedish winger, has been with Ulsan for three seasons, while Um joined the club in 2022. Ulsan had previously enjoyed success, winning three consecutive K League 1 titles from 2022 to 2024, but finished ninth in 2025 with 44 points, only two points above the relegation zone.
During his time at Ulsan, Ludwigson scored 18 goals and provided 11 assists across 85 matches, ranking third on the team with five goals in the 2025 season.
Um had his best season in 2022, leading the team with 12 goals, but struggled to maintain his scoring form in subsequent years due to knee injuries. In 2025, he managed just one goal and five assists in 30 matches.
Earlier in the offseason, veteran midfielder Jung Woo-young also announced his departure from Ulsan after two seasons. The club experienced instability last year, having changed head coaches twice, with the second coach, Shin Tae-yong, leaving amid allegations of abuse. Ulsan recently appointed club legend Kim Hyun-seog as the new head coach.

스웨덴 출신의 윙어 루드비히손은 지난 3년 간 K 리그 1에서 울산에서 활약했으며, 엄원상은 2022년부터 울산에 소속되어 있었다.
울산은 2022년부터 2024년까지 K 리그 1에서 3연속 우승을 차지했지만, 2025년에는 44점으로 9위에 그쳐 강등권과는 단 2점 차이에 머물렀다.
구스타브 루드비히손은 울산에서 85경기를 뛰며 18골과 11 assists를 기록했고, 2025년에는 5골로 팀 내 3위에 올랐다.
엄원상은 2022년 K 리그 7년 경력 중 최고의 시즌을 보내며 팀 내 최다인 12골을 기록했다. 그러나 이후 3시즌 동안 부상으로 고생하며 득점이 두 자릿수에 도달하지 못했고, 2025년에는 30경기에서 1골 5 assists를 기록했다.
시즌 초반, 베테랑 미드필더 정우영이 2년 동안 울산에서 뛰고 떠났다고 발표했다.
울산은 지난해 두 명의 감독을 겪었으며, 두 번째 감독 신태용은 선수들에 대한 신체적 및 언어적 학대 혐의로 물러났다.
