A high school in Seoul received an apparent fake bomb threat on Monday, leading to a police search and the implementation of school-wide evacuation drills, officials reported.
Police were dispatched to the school located in the northeastern ward of Nowon after receiving a report early in the morning about a social media post that threatened to detonate a bomb at the school at 2 p.m.
Following a thorough search conducted before school hours, police did not find any explosives.
In response to the threat, the school organized evacuation drills to address concerns that similar threats could occur in the future.
서울의 한 고등학교에서 월요일에 가짜 폭탄 위협이 발생해 경찰 수색과 학교 전체 대피 훈련이 진행됐다고 관계자들이 전했다.
경찰은 오전 일찍 소셜 미디어에 오후 2시에 학교를 폭파하겠다는 내용이 담긴 게시물이 신고되자 서울 노원구의 이 학교에 출동했다.
학교 개학 전에 수색을 실시한 경찰은 폭발물을 발견하지 못했다.
학교 측은 이러한 위협이 재발할 수 있다는 우려로 대피 훈련을 실시했다.
