Executives from Jeju Air and Samsung SDI were also removed from the list of those scheduled to testify. Lawmakers from the main opposition party aligned with this approach, rescinding plans to summon the CEO of LG Energy Solution for an upcoming audit session.
As of Monday afternoon, there were discussions among opposition lawmakers about potentially scrapping plans to call in other business leaders for testimony at various committee sessions, including the chairman of SK Group.
Representatives from the opposition party emphasized that each committee has the authority to decide on the summoning of businesspeople. 월요일 오후 3시 현재, 국민의힘 의원들은 각각 국정위원회 및 산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원회 감사 세션에 출석 요청을 받은 SK그룹의 최태원 회장과 신세계그룹의 정용진 회장을 소환하지 않는 계획을 폐기할지를 검토 중인 것으로 전해졌다.
최 회장은 APEC CEO 정상회의가 열리는 날인 10월 28일 국회에 출석할 요청을 받았으나, 그가 한국상공회의소의 회장 역할을 맡고 있기 때문에 소환 논란이 있었다.
국민의힘 박성훈 대변인은 "각 상임위원회는 기업인 소환 여부를 결정할 권리가 있다"고 말했다.
