The NC Dinos announced on Saturday their decision to remove all aluminum panels from their home stadium, Changwon NC Park, following a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a fan during a game last month.
The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) team stated that the removal of all 227 louver panels, which are installed on windows and walls, will take place over the next four days. This decision was made after discussions involving the Dinos, the city of Changwon, and the Changwon Infrastructure Corp.
The incident occurred during a KBO game on March 29, when a female fan in her 20s was struck by a louver panel that fell from the window of the Dinos' office located above a concession stand. She succumbed to a head injury two days later.
The panel, which fell from a height of approximately 18 meters, measured 2.6 meters in length, 40 centimeters in width, and weighed around 60 kilograms. In addition to the deceased fan, her younger sister and another fan sustained injuries during the incident.
In response to the tragedy, officials from the Dinos and the municipal government initiated a comprehensive safety inspection of the ballpark, which first opened in 2013.

3월 29일 창원 NC 파크에서 열린 KBO 경기 중 20대 여성 팬이 다이노스 사무실 위의 매점에서 떨어진 루버 패널에 맞아 부상을 입었고, 이틀 후 머리 부상으로 사망했다.
떨어진 패널은 지상 약 18미터 높이에서 떨어졌으며, 길이 2.6미터, 폭 40센티미터, 무게 약 60킬로그램이었다.
사망한 팬의 여동생과 또 다른 팬도 이번 사건으로 부상을 당했다.
다이노스와 지방 정부 관계자들은 2010년에 개장한 야구장에서 대규모 안전 점검을 실시할 예정이다.
