Courtesy of Prime Minister's Office" decoding="async" loading="eager" fetchpriority="high"></picture><div class="caption" readability="15"><p>Kim Jin-nam, head of the office for international development cooperation under the Prime Minister's Office, met with Joe Cerrell, managing director for global policy and advocacy, to discuss expanding cooperation in health care and bio sectors by leveraging artificial intelligence technology, according to the Prime Minister's Office.</p></div></div><p class="editor-p">A senior government official held discussions with a Gates Foundation official on enhancing collaboration in health care and biotechnology through artificial intelligence, the Prime Minister's Office said.</p><p class="editor-p">Kim Jin-nam stated that Korea aims to broaden cooperation with the foundation, leveraging the country's advanced AI and biotechnologies to deepen ties with the world’s leading charity.</p><p class="editor-p">Cerrell acknowledged Korea's contributions to international health initiatives, including financial support for the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and indicated optimism about Korea applying its AI capabilities to take on a more active global role, the office added.</p><p class="editor-p">The official noted that the foundation plans to establish a Korea office in the second half of the year.</p>

총리실에 따르면 국제 개발 협력 사무소장 김진남은 글로벌 정책 및 옹호 관리 이사인 조 세렐(Joe Cerrell)과의 회의에서 한국이 선진 AI 및 생명공학 기술을 바탕으로 세계 최대 자선단체와의 협력을 확장하기를 바란다고 전했다.
조 세렐은 국제 보건 기관과의 협력에 대한 한국의 기여를 포함한 재정 지원에 감사의 뜻을 전하고, AI 기술을 활용해 더 적극적으로 역할을 수행하길 기대한다며 총리실에 따르면 말했다.
공식은 또한 이 재단이 올해 하반기에 한국에 사무소를 개소할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
