A well-known singer addressed ongoing discussion about her weight, stating she is managing it in a healthy way and asking fans not to worry.
In a social media post, she said she is working out hard and maintaining a healthy weight, and asked followers not to be concerned, sharing a screenshot of a weight-related article.
The artist has faced persistent scrutiny over her weight, with public comments intensifying recently. Rumors about pregnancy had previously prompted a clarification from her agency. In a YouTube appearance last year, she attributed weight gain to happiness and noted stability after marriage.
Despite prior explanations, weight discussions continued. She later urged a renewed focus on dieting, posting an image of herself on a scale as part of the discussion.
She first debuted in 2007 with a girl group, later joined another group, and then pursued a solo career, gaining recognition for several hit songs. She married a fellow singer in October 2024.

현아는 오랫동안 체중에 대한 공개적 비판에 시달려 왔으며 최근 몇 달간 이러한 논쟁이 더욱 강화됐다. 임신 루머가 한때 제기되기도 했고 소속사가 이를 해명하기도 했다. 지난해 유튜브 채널에 출연해 "행복해서 살이 쪘다"며 "결혼 후 안정감을 찾았다"고 말한 바 있다.
그런 해명에도 불구하고 체중에 대한 논의는 계속됐으며, 현아는 이후 소셜 미디어에 "정신 차리고 다시 다이어트를 시작해 보자"고 적으며 다이어트의 시작을 알렸다. 이어 체중계 위에 서 있는 자신의 사진을 올리기도 했다.
