Gim Eun-ji's team defeated Anna Hasselborg's Sweden 8-3 at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium in Cortina d'Ampezzo, with the result improving South Korea's record to 5-3 while Sweden dropped to 6-2.
South Korea will close out its round-robin schedule against Canada on Thursday, with a chance to reach the top four and advance to the semifinals.
The match against Sweden began with South Korea taking three points in the opening end via Gim's promotion takeout, followed by another point in the second end. They then scored two points in the third and fourth ends to extend the lead to 8-0 before Sweden earned points in the next three ends and conceded victory after the seventh end.
